Post-Storm Balcony Cleanup

After the storm has passed, the balcony is still $2 per square foot. We wash what a hand wash can wash. We do not inspect the structure, and we do not go out in the weather.

What this page is

Post-storm balcony cleanup is the ordinary visit, booked after the wind has dropped and the building has reopened. Leaves, grit, and the film a sideways rain leaves on glass and rail. Same $2 per square foot. No storm surcharge.

It is not an emergency board-up, not a water-damage restoration, and not a milestone inspection. If a panel is cracked, a rail is loose, or water came through the slider into the unit, that is outside a cleaning visit. Look and photograph before anyone washes, which is also the point of the after-a-storm guide.

What we do once the building lets us in

Look first

If something is broken, we stop and text you a photo. Washing over a cracked panel does not help you or the unit below.

Clear the slab

Leaves and grit off the floor and out of the track, then the same scrub and extraction as any other visit.

Glass and rail

The film a storm leaves on reachable glass and the top rail, by hand. No razor, no pressure washer.

Nothing over the edge

Storm debris does not get swept onto the neighbor. It leaves with us, or it goes in your trash if the building requires that.

When we will not come

We do not clean during a warning, and we do not ask a desk to let us up while the building is closed. Hurricane prep, as distinct from the wash afterward, is the prep guide. The wash itself stays on the slab, which is why there is no hose.

This page is a description of a cleaning visit. It is not advice about your association's rules, and it is not a substitute for a look by someone qualified to judge a damaged rail.

What it costs

Floor sizeApprox.Price
Typical downtown balcony80 sq ft$160
Large corner120 sq ft$240
Wraparound terrace300 sq ft$600

The rate does not move because the dirt arrived in one afternoon. The cost guide has the rest of the table.

Text a photo after the building reopens

If something looks broken, say so. We would rather see it before we book the wash.

FAQ

Can you come during the storm?

No. We book after the weather has passed and the building is letting vendors in.

Is there a storm fee?

No. The floor is $2 per square foot whether the dirt is a year of dust or one afternoon of leaves.

Will you inspect the railing?

No. If we see something loose or cracked we stop and send you the photo. Judging whether a rail is safe is not a cleaning visit.

What if water came inside?

That is past a balcony wash. We can still clean the slab once the building allows it. We do not dry out a unit.
